Additionally, the PVS7 has a bright light cut-off feature to protect the image tube from sources of intense light, and a flip-up shut-off feature that can be used with the optional helmet mount system. The PVS7 night vision goggles have proven themselves as high-performance NV devices in detection, rescue, and surveillance missions in extreme low-light conditions. This versatile system can be used as handheld or hands-free goggles, or with an optional long-range Mil Spec Afocal Lens or compatible objective lenses that allow converting the PVS7 goggles into a powerful NV viewer with 3.0x or 5.0x magnification, depending on the lens paired with the device.
